Muriel Pénicaud

Former French minister of Labour and Ambassador to the OECD

Muriel Pénicaud is a business executive, politician, photographer, author, and public speaker. She served as Minister of Labour in the French government, leading the reform of the Labour Code and the Professional Future Act (gender equality, apprenticeship, life-long learning, inclusion). She was Ambassador and Permanent Representative of France to the OECD, and Ambassador for International Investment and CEO of Business France. Previously, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer and Chair of the Danone Ecosystem Fund at Danone Group, and as Deputy CEO at Dassault Systèmes.

She was a Board Director at Orange, SNCF and Aeroports de Paris, and Chair of AgroParisTech. Currently, she is a Senior Advisor to Bain Capital, a Board Director at ManpowerGroup, Galileo Global Education and Positiv’, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Global Summit of Women. She is the founder, patron, and president of the Sakura Foundation, which supports emerging artists engaged in societal causes.
