Maria Elo

Maria Elo is Professor of International Business and Entrepreneurship at the University of Southern Denmark and Professor at the Belt and Road Institute of International Business at Shanghai University. She also holds positions as Senior Research Fellow at the University of Turku, Adjunct Professor at Åbo Akademi University, and Research Fellow at the Institute of Work and Technology. Professor Elo’s research focuses on internationalization, sustainability, talent management, skilled migrants and returnees, migrant and diaspora entrepreneurship, transnational and family businesses, diaspora networks and investments, and sectors like automotive aftermarket. She is a founding honorary member and Ambassador of TALENTS4AA. Her work has been published in prestigious journals such as the Journal of World Business and Industrial Marketing Management. Professor Elo has authored books and holds multiple editorial roles, contributing significantly to the fields of international business, entrepreneurship, and migration studies.
