Beatrice Boots

Beatrice Boots is the Director of the Dutch STEM Platform: Platform Talent voor Technologie (PTVT), the national centre for technological education and labour market expertise in the Netherlands. PTVT connects policy, practice, and science to address social issues with education, business, and government collaboration. Increasing women’s participation in science, technology, and IT is a key objective, aiming for a technology sector that reflects society and offers equal opportunities. Beatrice also chairs the EU STEM Coalition, the EU’s primary network of national STEM platforms, facilitating best-practice sharing between countries and regions. The coalition organizes conferences, working groups, and webinars, while providing support for new initiatives related to STEM education and the labour market. It offers direct assistance in developing new initiatives, organizations, and strategies based on existing best practices through policy briefings, taskforce meetings, and roundtables.
