New app will help visitors make the most of WorldSkills Conference 2024

Delegates will be able to maximize their time at WorldSkills Conference 2024 thanks to a mobile app that filters content by interest area and helps secure a spot at must-see sessions and panels.

As WorldSkills Conference 2024 approaches, delegates now have a powerful tool at their fingertips. The app lets them dive into the agenda, craft their ideal itinerary, and make the most of their time at WorldSkills Conference 2024, which runs from 11 to 12 September.

Conference attendees need to download the Whova app to gain access to the Conference. Available for free download on smartphone app stores, Whova is the host app for WorldSkills Conference 2024 and offers users a comprehensive view of the whole Conference agenda so they can build personalized schedules.

A separate app will also be available for download soon for WorldSkills Lyon 2024.

Chris Humphries, President of WorldSkills, has described WorldSkills Conference 2024 as “a gathering of some of the globally most influential figures in Technical and Vocational Education and Training.” The new app will play a significant role in making sure that all attendees have the best experience and can fully engage with the wealth of knowledge and expertise on offer.

Navigate the rich Conference programme

WorldSkills Conference 2024 offers a packed two-day schedule across three distinct stages: the expansive Plenary Hall with a 500 to 1,000 person capacity, and three more intimate Innovation, Inspire, and Development Domes, each accommodating 100 attendees.

This multi-track Conference covers a wide range of crucial topics in the world of skills development, organized into 11 thematic streams: Apprenticeships, Competitions of the Future, Digital and AI, Employers, Excellence in TVET, Global Agenda, Green, Networking, Showcase, Social Justice, and Youth.

The app’s powerful filtering feature allows attendees to easily navigate the content. For example, those interested in sustainability can quickly identify sessions like “Keeping climate promises: How TVET can lead the green transition” in the Inspire Dome, tagged under the Employers, Global Agenda, Green, and Social Justice tracks.

Meanwhile, visitors wanting to learn about inclusivity might prioritize “Reimagining workplaces, cultivating inclusion: Attracting more women into STEM” in the Innovation Dome.

The app also highlights not-to-be-missed events such as the BeChangeMaker 2024 live pitch finale, relevant to all tracks and hosted in the Plenary Hall.
