Shae White grew up around people who loved cooking, so she spent a big part of her childhood in the kitchen. After culinary school and an internship, she secured a position at a renowned Barbados hotel. Shae represented Barbados in Cooking at WorldSkills Kazan 2019, winning the Best of Nation award among 45 international Competitors. Soon after, she became the youngest member of the WorldSkills Champions Trust (WSCT) representing the Americas and the first representative from the Caribbean. After relocating to Toronto, Canada, Shae will continue her role on the WSCT for 2023 to 2024. Her aim is to develop the WorldSkills movement in her region, viewing it as a platform for youth to share experiences and improve conditions for future generations.
