Roxane Zighed is a fragility and conflict advisor at the French Development Agency (AFD), where she leads AFD’s work on conflict-related crosscutting issues, such as gender and climate. Recently, she has piloted an AFD-level reflection on the role of vocational training and employment to prevent conflict. Roxane Zighed is trained in sociology and economics and holds an MSc in Development Economics from Paris School of Economics. Prior to joining the French Development Agency, she conducted field research on crisis response programmes in East Africa. She also worked at the World Bank, where she evaluated and supported the scale up of policies with high potential for women’s empowerment in the Sahel.
