Rocío Maldonado González was born in Andalucía, in the South of Spain. She studied Industrial Engineering, specializing in Chemical Processes at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
In 1996, Rocío joined BASF through a scholarship programme at Glasurit, Pinturas y Tintas, S.A., starting her professional journey in chemistry, processes and customer services. Short assignments followed, with Herberts Powder Coatings by Hoechst Group and Dupont.
In 1999, Rocío rejoined BASF permanently and enjoyed various roles in the region. Today, Rocío heads Global Training Solutions for BASF Automotive Refinish Coatings.
