Melkon Hovhannisyan

Melkon is a passionate IT developer and Chief Technology Officer of his co-founded company. Currently, he is pursuing a degree in Computer Sciences at the European University of Armenia. Melkon’s WorldSkills journey began at a regional competition, where he won gold in Web Design and bronze in Web Development, leading to his participation in Web Technologies at WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition in Goyang, Korea. As a WorldSkills Champions Trust representative, Melkon aims to highlight the diverse skills leading to professional excellence. Amidst workplace disruptions driven by artificial intelligence, he believes “passion” will make people valuable, emphasizing the importance of continuous upskilling. Melkon describes himself as an introvert, and says that joining the WorldSkills Champions Trust was a way to challenge himself, improve his public speaking, and engage globally.
