Georg Konetzky

Georg Konetzky is the Director General of the Department VI – National Market Strategies at the Federal Ministry for Labour and Economy in Austria. With a career spanning over three decades in public service, Konetzky has held various positions within the Ministry, including Head of the General Legal and Legislation Department of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Labor. Since 2019, he has led the National Market Strategies Section, overseeing areas such as trade, crafts, electrical engineering, accreditation, vocational training, skilled workers, chambers, and economic crisis prevention. He holds a diploma in law from the University of Vienna and completed postgraduate studies at the Federal Academy of Administration and the Academy of Europe.
