Fabio Jiménez

Dr. Fabio Jiménez is the Head of Labour Mobility and Markets in the Labour Mobility Division (LMD) at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Switzerland. Since joining LMD in 2022, he has led the development and implementation of global tools for Skills Mobility Partnerships, positioning IOM as a key partner in this field. Previously, Dr. Jiménez coordinated the labour migration unit of the Western Hemisphere Program in Mesoamerica and the Caribbean at IOM’s Regional Office in San Jose. There, he implemented activities building capacities in ethical recruitment, bilateral labour migration agreements, and labour market information systems. Dr. Jiménez joined IOM in July 2018 after completing his doctorate in Public Policy and Governance at the University of New South Wales, Australia. He has extensive experience in agriculture, environmental policy, foreign trade, and education.
