Daniel McCabe

Born in the United Kingdom, Dan is a Vehicle Artist at Cloud Imperium, an international game company based in Manchester. He studied 3D Game Design at college, where a tutor recognized his talent and kick-started Dan’s WorldSkills journey. Dan won gold at EuroSkills Gothenburg 2016 and represented the UK at WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017. He joined the WorldSkills Champions Trust in 2020 as representative for Europe, and he is now returning for 2023 to 2024. Dan’s recent contributions include speaking in the Opening Ceremony at EuroSkills Gdańsk 2023 and representing WorldSkills at WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition. “I didn’t see problems before. Now I’m trying to solve them,” Dan says, noting his improved understanding of education-industry gaps. At 25, he’s been the voice of skilled youth at policy-making events and is raising awareness of mental health issues and support within the WorldSkills movement.
